Faisal Chaudhry, Principal Architect, Cisco Advanced Services – Faisal Chaudhry is a Principal Architect in Cisco Advanced Services. In his current role, Faisal works with Cisco customers and Industry on SDN, Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Cloud automation & Orchestration, OpenStack, Network Function Virtualization (NFV) solutions.
Faisal is frequent speaker at key Industry events, Cisco Live and customers seminars. Faisal started his Cisco career in 1996 in San Jose TAC and has worked in various roles including Technical Leader, TAC Manager and Consulting Systems Engineer in product sales. He holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering degree and is double CCIE in Routing-Switching & Voice (# 2706). He has also co-authored CCIE Dial lab examination.

Zach Seils, Technical Leader, CISCO SYSTEMS, INC – Zach Seils is a Technical Leader in the Technical Services Global Technical Center (GTC), responsible for global emerging technology readiness, product serviceability, and critical account support. In addition to working closely with customers and partners, Zach is directly engaged with various Cisco business units on product enhancements, early field trials, and new product architectures. Zach is currently a core team member focused on readiness and serviceability of Cisco’s Open Network Environment (ONE) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) initiatives.
Shelly Cadora, Technical Marketing Engineer, CISCO SYSTEMS, INC – A 14 year Cisco veteran and CiscoLive Distinguished Speaker, Shelly Cadora is currently a Technical Marketing Engineer for One Platform Kit (onePK). She has worked in development and marketing for a variety of products and solutions. She has a PhD from Stanford University and a CCIE in Routing and Switching.
Joe Clarke, Distinguished Services Engineer, CISCO SYSTEMS, INC – As a Global Technical Center engineer, he has contributed to network management products and technologies by finding and fixing bugs, as well as implementing maintenance and troubleshooting components in Cisco Prime, Cisco?s flagship network management suite. Joe helps to support and enhance the embedded automation and programmability technologies, such as the Embedded Event Manager, Tcl, and onePK. He is a top-rated speaker at Cisco’s annual user conference, CiscoLive!, as well as a certified as a CCIE, Sun System Administrator, Sun Network Administrator, Sun Security Administrator, Sun Java certified, and VMware Certified Professional. He has authored numerous technical documents on Cisco network management products and technologies as well as a chapter co-author in the upcoming Springer publication, “Network-Embedded Management and Applications: Understanding Programmable Networking Infrastructure”; and he served as one of the technical editors for the Cisco Press book, "TcL Scripting for Cisco IOS." He works as the XML lead on the Common Vulnerability and Reporting Framework project, which is a cross-vendor effort to standardize how security advisory data is shared amongst organizations. Joe is co-author of seven Cisco patents, including one on leveraging XMPP as a network management and a VPN protocol.
Salman Asadullah,Cisco Designated VIP – After 22 years working at Cisco, Salman has now joined the leadership team at NetNuvem, a Systems & Software Integrator. As a CTO & VP Engineering, he leads their global cross-architecture, multi-vendor and open-source technology solutions while working closely with their key customers and partners.
Salman also serves as co-chair and advisor for many notable industry organizations including IPv6 Forum Fellow and Broadband Forum Ambassador. As a recognized expert within the industry, Salman has worked on large-scale SP and Enterprise networks and technologies for two decades. Salman is a frequent speaker at key industry events and conferences and participates in industry panel discussions and technical platforms as an advisor. Salman is also a returning top rated speaker at Cisco's user conference, CiscoLive.
Previously. Salman worked in various capacities for Cisco, from Services, Engineering, to Field organizations. In recent years Salman worked on NGDC, DevOps, Cloud, IPv6, SDN and NFV Deployments, Adoption and Enablement, Global Support and Services Readiness, Mentoring, Knowledge Transfer, Product Development, Intellectual Property, Publications and Industry Activities.
Salman is a Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kansas.
Phil Casini, Director Product Management – Phil Casini is currently Director Product Management for Cisco Enterprise Network Group's "ENG" Controller project. Prior to this role, from June 2011 to recently, Phil was Senior Product Manager for Cisco Data Center Groups Extensible Network Controller (formerly called the Cisco ONE Controller), which has become a foundation SDN component across Cisco and also for the newly formed OpenDaylight Linux Foundation project. Prior to taking his role within the Data Center Group, Phil was a member of the cross functional team that developed the initial SDN strategy for the company.
Ozden Karakok, TECHNICAL LEADER.ENGINEERING, CISCO SYSTEMS, INC – Ozden Karakok is a Technical Leader in the Technical Services Global Technical Center in Belgium. Ozden has been with Cisco Systems for fourteen years and specializes in Storage Area and Data Center Networks. She is currently engaged with Cisco Data Center Business Unit on product enhancements, early field trials, and new product architectures. Prior to joining Cisco, Ozden spent five years working for a number of Cisco's large customers in various telecommunications roles. Ozden is a Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts in Routing and Switching, SNA/IP and Storage. She also holds VCP certification.
Ahmed Abro, 3Cs (CCDE, CCIE Security, CISSP), Technologist, Cisco AS Lead Secure SDN/ONE, Cloud & Data Center – Ahmed is a technologist & contributor in multiple technology fronts such as SDN, cloud, multi-tenancy, virtualization, data center & Layer X technologies
He is currently leading two major initiatives for Cisco AS for Secure Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Secure Cloud & Data Center where he has introduced various new service solutions, innovated new architectures, frameworks, developed education programs and continued evolving the cloud, data center and SDN area.
Beside this, he is actively engaged with several other working groups, tiger teams, solution development teams and certification development teams within Cisco.
He is member of team developing Certified Design Expert (CCDE) program, and established a CCDE mentorship program for professional community. He is the organizer of the famous "Crossing the CCDE Border" training webinar.
This time he has accepted the challenge to provide industry wide awareness on the security aspects of Software Defined Networking.
He sees security as the key concern for SDN adoption, and on the other side he also believes SDN is the best way to establish a security launch pad for an effective threat defense system. He has developed the "Secure ONE" architecture for defining security through programmability.
Navaid Shamsee, CISSP, CCIE (DC, SP, R&S) Solutions Architect Cisco Advanced Services – Navaid is Cisco Advanced Services Solutions Architect, with about 20+ years of experience in Telecom, Internetworking, Data Centre, Security and Cloud technologies. He holds Masters Degree in Telecommunication, and Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering. He is triple CCIE within Data Centre, Service Provider and R&S technologies. He also holds VCP, CISSP, ITIL, TOGAF and other IT Certifications.
Navaid is regular speaker of Cisco Live, and presented on the topics of Data Centre, VMDC and Cloud. He developed many solutions using Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud (CIAC). He also has two patents pending in the field of Data Centre Security.
Navaid designed, implemented, optimized and secured many large scale Data Centres. Prior to joining Cisco, Navaid worked for Cisco Gold partners (IBM and Bell Canada) as Senior Consultant where he was managing high profile, large-scale Data Centers and network systems.
Paul Lesiak, Solutions Architect with the Advanced Services Data Center, CISCO SYSTEMS, INC – Paul Lesiak is a Solutions Architect with the Advanced Services Data Center and Compute Practice. Paul has been with Cisco for 10 years and has supported customers with hundreds of deployments across the Data Center portfolio including Nexus, Catalyst, L4-7 services, Security and WAAS, along with automation tools. Other areas of knowledge and expertise include data center architecture, cloud computing, server and network virtualization, automation and development in many languages. Most recently Paul has been heavily involved working with Insieme Networks on the new Nexus 9000 and APIC products, focusing heavily on API development and integration efforts.
Brett Tiller – Brett Tiller has worked for Cisco Systems for 10 years providing technical support and partner training. He holds a master’s degree in Software Engineering and lives in Cary, North Carolina.
Hank Preston, Developer Evangelist, CISCO SYSTEM, INC – Hank’s two passions are technology and theatre and bringing them together drives him towards a borderline obsession on creating entertaining presentations, labs and demonstrations that breakdown complex technology topics for audiences. After spending several years working on and behind the scenes on stage productions, what started as a hobby turned to a profession when Hank entered the IT industry with a focus on web and database development and engineering. Drifting from development into infrastructure engineering brought him to Cisco as a Systems Engineer focusing on Data Center and Cloud Architecture for large enterprise customers. And after six years as an SE, Hank has taken up the mantle of a Developer Evangelist with DevNet where he can focus full time on reminding everyone that technology can and should be fun to work with. Hank holds a Master Degree in Information Systems as well as several certifications including CCIE R/S 38336 from Cisco.
John McDonough is a Developer Evangelist for Cisco's DEVNET. John is responsible for dissemination and accessibility of all things Cisco UCS Management and Automation APIs, Cloud Center APIs and all around Data Center Automation. With 29 years of application development and delivery experience John is well suited to assist customers, both internal and external in fully understanding and utilizing all the Cisco Data Center APIs.
Tom Davies has over 17 years’ experience as a Senior Manager & Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Developer, and Technology Evangelist, working across the Enterprise and Service Provider sectors. He has been part of start-ups, scale-outs and a number of world leading technology companies. At Cisco, he is part of DevNet, leading DevNet Sandbox and its mission to provide free, fast, frictionless access to Cisco, third party and open source technologies for everyone.
Matt DeNapoli started his illustrious Cisco career in 2007 as a wireless support engineer. Over the course of 6 years, Matt worked in many capacities for the Cisco Developer Network, the precursor to today’s DevNet program. In 2013 he helped with the implementation of that program, acting as systems analyst, a metrics guru, a coder, a teacher, a systems engineer, and a developer evangelist…sometimes all at the same time!
Jim Bugwadia is a founder at Nirmata, a San Francisco Bay area startup in the Enterprise DevOps space. He has been developing large-scale distributed software systems for the last two decades. Jim started his career developing C++ software at Motorola for cellular network infrastructure, where his team launched the world's first CDMA network. Since then Jim has held several developer, architect, and leadership roles at companies like Bell Labs, Cisco, Trapeze Networks, and Pano Logic. In 2013, Jim founded Nirmata, a startup focused on solving Enterprise DevOps pain points, by providing multi-cloud management of Microservices style applications that are deployed using containers.
